King Tut's Wah Wah Hut (New York)

Now closed, King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut was a club and theater space in the Lower East Side of New York City, operating in the mid-1980s. Located on Avenue A and 7th Street, the venue presented a number of experimental theatre artists and musicians who later went on to define the downtown performance art scene in the 1980s and 1990s. The famed music venue in Glasgow, Scotland took its name from this historic club.
